York is only about 1 hour away from Thornwick Bay Holiday park, with over 1900 years' worth of history in its ancient walls. The Romans built the city around 71 AD, and the Vikings captured York in 866 AD. Today York is a great family place to visit for the day with something for all the family including York Castle Museum, shopping, and much much more.

Cold War military jets such as the Victor, Nimrod and Tornado jet fighters.
