Review

This is our 3rd holiday to Thornwick Bay, and it just gets better each time. All the staff are lovely and friendly, whichever part of the park you're in! Nothing is too much trouble, the facilities are fab and the views are outstanding. As a family we never want to leave. 10/10 from us.

We came to Thornwick Bay on a last minute break and to be honest with a couple of the reviews on this site I was a little bit nervous about what it would be like. I was very pleasantly surprised. Our caravan was very clean and well appointed, all the mod cons and very nicely decorated. I’ve never seen such a clean high chair!!!
We ate at the Lighthouse restaurant twice and found the service friendly and quick, the food was nice and the same price as you’d pay in most places so not particularly over priced.
The park is ideally situated for exploring the area and there are plenty of places to go with good access for small children with an excellent beach at Fraisthorpe.

Our small children enjoyed the outdoor sand pit and ship. The outdoor play area was good but they could do with a slide.
The only thing I found disappointing was the soft play area which I’m afraid was dirty and dusty and there was absolutely zero for my 18 month to do in the under 2 yr old area - literally zilch it was just a padded area to put small children. I did report the dirty soft play and to be fair they seemed to get on and investigate straight away. It could do with being bigger in general. We didn’t get a chance to use a pool but as we’ve not checked out yet hopefully we’ll do that on the way home!
If those bits were better then I would be giving Thornwick Bay 5 out of 5 and I’ve already been thinking of when we can come back 😊
