There’s nothing better than soaking up the beautiful views whilst riding on a bike at your leisure. Let the wind whip through your hair as you explore our many acres. We have big bikes, little ones, bikes with stabilisers and all the ones in between – so no one needs to be left behind.
We visited for a three-night break with two teenagers and rented a private three-bed caravan on Kestrel, which was spotlessly clean and well-situated for all amenities. We have stayed at several Haven sites and others before, but this was something else. The bar and restaurant are beautifully-styled and the drinks and food reasonably priced, although the portions are not massive. The staff are friendly and obliging. The fish and chip shop, although a little on the pricey side, offered good service and quality. The on-site shop was limited re fresh food, but the wine was extremely reasonable (!). Our daughter (13), loved the pool and we were delighted at the kindness of the reception staff regarding passes - as only our daughter wanted to swim and there was no pressure to purchase one each. We were amazed at the options for walks and exploring within easy distance. The various bays and coves, the lighthouse at Flamborough and RSPB Bempton were all really enjoyable and very close. In fact, we liked it so much, we've booked for another week in the summer! The only caveat is that such an eco-aware site should do more regarding recycling with bins for bottles, paper and so on.
